In a weird twist of events, this week’s episode of The Overstand Podcast features only half of the dynamic-duo. Jackie was not able to be a part of the show this week but Ali held down the fort, but not really. The fort was moving at speeds as high as 50 miles per hour. What does that mean? You will have to tune in to find out!
In a day and age where violence is almost a certainty, people still don’t use common sense or think logically. Unfortunately, this topic is covered in this week’s episode. In addition, Jackie and Ali discuss halloween costumes, anxiety disorders, and much much more.
Ever thought why something hasn’t been invented yet? Ever had an idea and wanted to see it come to life? Well this week, Jackie and Ali dive into why this is. Also discussed is this ridiculous government shutdown, wanting the better things in life, and much much more!
Let’s hear what you gotta say about this specific topic. If a man gets a woman pregnant, should the decision to keep the child solely be hers, or should the man be able to say either yes or no. If the decision should only be hers and she chooses to keep it, then should the man be freed of all financial obligation to support the child?
You read it right… In this episode, Jackie and Ali discuss many things and then stumble across a story about a man who gave his girlfriend an abortion pill but made her think it was an anti-biotic because she didn’t want to abort their unborn child. This sparked a conversation on abortion where Jackie and Ali were on opposite sides of some aspects. A lot of other topics also discussed. Tune in!
Back again with the quarter episode! Jackie and Ali have been going strong for 25 weeks now and this episode is jam-packed with topics ranging from men donating to random women who want breast implants, all the way to Tupac lyrics. Get you some!
We have a treat in store for all of our fans this week! Jessica Snyder joined us on the show and I have to say, this was my favorite episode to date.
Jessica has a background in child development, specifically autistic children. Among all of the various aspects of this we discussed, the study that says to have found that inducing labor can cause autism in children was most interesting to me. To read more about that, Click Here.
If you’re like me and have been wanting a black, metal, American Express card since the first time you held one, then wait no longer. American Express has now allowed anyone to apply for one. The only thing is that you must qualify… to read more about what the qualifications are, Click Here.
To hear more about my favorite part of this episode, the community that Jessica lives in, you have to download and listen in. Trust me, it’s worth it!!
Jackie and Ali are back with their much anticipated and long overdue guest, Jessica Snyder! Discussed this week were several topics regarding child development, autism, parenting styles, PDA, current events, and the most interesting topic thus far, the Paradise Park Masonic Club.
Good things come to those who wait and this week, Jackie and Ali waited and added some very interesting topics to the agenda for episode 22. In this episode topics discussed were, updates on Hannah Anderson, The Hyperloop, a cure for down syndrome, cooking vs cooking, survival of the fittest, fear, lying, and much much more.
Would you want fame or fortune? Well, Jackie and Ali answer that question and much more in this jam-packed episode this week. Among other things, they discuss the new amber alerts in iOS, horoscopes, scary movies, bad marriage proposals, pick-up lines, and powerball.
We had several topics that were in the news this week and a lot of those had videos that went along with them. Each of the stories we covered in this week’s episode are listed below for your enjoyment.

Jackie and Ali return with their first full episode back since their trip to Europe. Covered in this week’s episode is coverage of the royal baby, airplane malfunctions, nudity, mondays and 3-day weekends, classic TV shows, stealing, roller coasters, Trayvon Martin, and much, much more!
Back from Europe, Jackie and Ali return with a new episode discussing their last location on the trip, the Trayvon Martin verdict, being an American, Asiana Airlines, obesity in children, if it’s better to be a man or a woman, and much more.
Well, I know we said that we would put up 2 episodes in the week but we were unable to do so. We did however combine Amsterdam and Paris into this week’s episode. The episode starts off with a band that we saw live in Paris on our first night and then we jump right into our time in Amsterdam, following up with our time in Paris.
We did discuss a few current events. One was about the girl who was attacked in San Francisco recently by a bunch of men. The surveillance video of her getting kicked in the face is very graphic and hard to watch. If you want to see it, Click Here
We also talked about the tragic plane crash of the Asiana Airlines Boeing 777 plane at SFO. To read more about this horrific incident, Click Here
Welkom op de Overstand Podcast and Bienvenue sur le Overstand Podcast! Episode 17 consists of Jackie and Ali’s adventures in both Amsterdam and Paris. Many topics relating to both of these locations are discussed, in addition to some current events that have taken place recently.
Willkommen in der Overstand Podcast! This week, Jackie and Ali deliver part 1 of a 2 part episode that starts in Berlin, Germany! Discussed are topics surrounding the culture in Germany, things to do, tips, drinking age, tipping, language, and much, much more!
The Overstand Podcast is back again! This week, a good friend of Jackie and Ali joins the show. Listen in as Jackie, Ali, and Joaquin talk about the latest news, hip dances, bad lyrics, and much, much more!
This week, we had a bunch of different topics that had related links.
We talked about this disgusting and ridiculous new eyeball licking craze called “Worming”. If you wanna read more about this gross new trend so you know what to be on the lookout for in case your kids do it, Click Here
We talked about the dog treats from China that were responsible for 900 illnesses and deaths in dogs. The mighty FDA still hasn’t been able to get these off the shelves. To read more about this Click Here
Jackie and I are going to do this at home laser hair removal but NOT on our faces. To check out what happened to this poor lady who went to buy makeup and did a free facial laser treatment, Click Here
We already talked about how Jackie licks all the flavor off of her potato chips. Well here’s the silly kid who got fired from his job at Taco Bell for taking a picture of him licking a bunch of unused taco shells and posting it on Facebook. To read more about this, Click Here
The Overstand Podcast is back!! This week, Jackie and Ali discuss the new Man of Steel movie, hurtful things people say to their significant others, pet treats and the FDA, the dangers of last treatment, a surprise phone call from a family member, Viagra, Taco Bell, and another segment of cRAP lyrics!
Stories are what make podcasts great and this week, Jackie and Ali unload a bunch of them. From overbearing security guards to sitting and peeing, this week is filled with great stories. In addition to that, Jackie and Ali discuss when you’re too old to go to college, Libertarians, food thieves, and more!
Well… we forgot to snap a pic with Kathy before she left today and I can’t seem to locate any of us 3 together so all you get is the twins. For those of you who don’t know, can you guess which is Jackie, and which is Kathy?
We covered a few things on this week’s episode that I wanted to link you guys to. The first was the story about the man who was sentenced to 50 year in prison for stealing a rack of ribs. To read more about that Click Here
We also talked about the supposed rat, or rock formation that resembles a rat, that was found in a picture taken by the Curiosity rover on Mars. To read mor about that Click Here
Below is quite possibly one of the most amazing pictures I’ve ever seen. Since we had twins in the studio, I brought up the picture I saw a couple weeks ago of twins born in Spain that when placed on the bed together right after birth, grabbed each other’s hand.
The twins attack!! This week Jackie’s sister Kathy stopped by the studio and joined forces with her twin. Topics discussed were getting prison time for stealing meat, taking full advantage of being a twin, the Mars rat, becoming a millionaire, managing money, phonetics, crazy ex’s, and more!
Do you call it a diesel or a big rig? Join Jackie and Ali this week and listen to their debate on that topic, the IRS, the Robin Hood’s of New Hampshire, Aliens existing, Placenta pills, and a new segment called Jackie’s Jargon!
We finally got the man simply known as Nima Fadavi, on the podcast! Nima is a great friend, and not only used to be my producer, but is one of the premiere hip-hop producers coming out of the Bay Area. He has done production for the likes of Collie Buddz, Andre Nickatina, Zion I, Fashawn, Chevy Woods, J Stalin, Philthy Rich, Messy Marv, Roach Gigz, Berner, Los Rakas, Tuki Carter, The Grouch, and many, many more.
Nima and I were in a group together called, Rise of the Revolution. We released 2 albums during our run and our first one, Never Stand Down, is available on iTunes. To listen to previews and download the album Click Here
To learn more about Nima, his beats, clothing line, jewelry line, and anything else related to him, Click Here
Below is a picture of Nima’s 1st chain from his jewelry line, Fadavi and Co.
Finally! The 10th episode of The Overstand Podcast was blessed with special guest, Nima Fadavi. Aside from the much anticipated story of how Jackie and Ali met, also discussed this week was everything related to Nima Fadavi, his music, clothing, and jewelry line, eating healthy, parental sheltering, etc.
I was asked earlier today by one of our loyal listeners, and then just now by a friend and loyal listener, if we skipped an episode of the podcast this week. The answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT! I freaked out and went to iTunes to check and Episode 9 is up and it’s been up since Monday morning. I think there might be a bug with the Podcasts app because I just launched the app I use which is called Downcast and was able to see the latest episode.
Moral of the story is if you think that we skipped an episode this week, THINK AGAIN!!! 🙂
Sometimes, an unexpected occurrence is a good thing. My brother Bobby decided to bless us with his presence on this week’s episode. We discussed several different topics and had a blast reminiscing on our childhood escapades.
The first thing we discussed this week was the brief switch I made from my iPhone to an HTC One. Like I said on the episode, I was having second thoughts on whether I should keep it or not, Jackie told me to make a list of pros and cons but I didn’t even need to make the list. The only pro was the bigger screen, while the cons were endless. Bottom line was that nothing will replace an iPhone and to all the non-iPhone users out there, I feel sorry for you.
We also spoke about the psychic, Sylvia Brown, who told Amanda Berry’s mother and father that Amanda was dead when we all now know that was not true. It turns out she’s been wrong before and her incorrect premonitions have altered the course of investigations. She has been silent since this new information has been revealed and has not made a statement. To learn more about this story Click Here
I found an excuse to bring up the topic of breast milk to Jackie once again. This time, the focus is breast milk jewelry and the increasing popularity of this new fad. To learn more about breast milk jewelry Click Here
We spoke briefly about the 3D printing technology and how with it, the ability to print real handguns has become an issue that congress is looking at. Below is an example of what one of these 3D printed guns looks like.
During the episode, Bobby kept referring to the penis that he was holding the entire time. He wanted us to post a picture of it so that the listeners would know exactly what it was that he was holding. The picture below is the penis ashtray that Jackie and I bought for him when we went to Hawaii on our honeymoon.
Surprise! This week, Ali’s brother Bobby decided to stop by and join in on all the fun. Among the topics discussed were Ali’s HTC experience, Jackie’s stipulation to Ali’s spending habits, parenting dogs vs parenting children, first tattoos, Charles Ramsey’s 9-11 call, psychics, jingles, and a whole lot more!
Episode 8 was packed with topics and we were covering a lot of ground in our new “up to 1 hour” format (thanks to all the great feedback we received from everyone!). We have several links that are directly related to the talking points we had in this episode listed below for you. Enjoy!
We started off the show talking about my experience walking past a homeless man on my way to get my car from the dealership and then driving past him 10 mins later in a brand new car. Jackie referred to a documentary called, Homeless In Paradise, where homeless people in Santa Monica, CA are the focus of the film. To get more info on that Click Here
I referred to a video someone posted of an interview with a homeless man who was just trying to live. This interview was very raw and at times hard. It’s a shame that this country is more focused on things happening outside of our borders, rather than helping our own people. To see the interview Click Here
Jackie and I, like the rest of the country, are also on the “kale and healthy craze” and we just bought a NUTRiBULLET Blender. This thing really is awesome and if you want to find more info about it Click Here
Jackie also mentioned that she has been baking “Kale Chips” as a healthy alternative to those who enjoy eating potato chips. These really are very tasty and if you’re interested in the recipe Click Here
We also discussed some items in the news one of which being the lady who tried to switch drinks at a Starbucks in San Jose, CA with tainted drinks with lethal amounts of rubbing alcohol in them. To read more about this crazy woman Click Here
And something I personally could not do, take a year off of the internet, we talked about the guy who did just that. To read more about his crazy idea Click Here
In another segment of “cRAP Lyrics” we highlighted Bay Area cRAPPER, Lil B. To read his top 10 worst lines Click Here
Episode 8 has arrived! Jackie and Ali jump from topic to topic in this episode filled with laughs and funny moments. Covered in episode 8 are discussions on homeless people, redundancy when speaking, Jackie’s rules for what Ali can and cannot say, the new healthy craze, current events, cRAP lyrics, and much, much more!
Jackie and I cannot come to an agreement on how long each of our episodes should be. Jackie believes that we should keep each episode right at the 1 hour mark. I believe we should go 1.5 hours or more. A few of our listeners that I’ve spoken to have said to go longer than 2 hours.
In Episode 7, we discussed a few topics that we want to link to so you guys can get all the info we were looking at. Early on in the episode Jackie made reference to the conspiracy theories whirling around regarding the Boston bombing. As crazy as most of these sound, some of them do spark a little skepticism because you just never know…
To read more about the conspiracy theories Click Here.
We also talked about the U.S. justice system and how ridiculous it is that the one Boston bomber who is still living will get an all-star defense team even though he is an admitted terrorist.
To read more about the lawyers defending Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Click Here.
I spoke about the prank I played on my mom texting her that I had just purchased 2 grams for $40 and here is a screenshot of our conversation. LOL. Gotta love my mama…
The Overstand Podcast is back in your life this week with another jam-packed episode. Among topics discussed by Jackie and Ali in this episode are the U.S. justice system, opposite sex roommates and moving out of your parents house, Ali’s apology for not thinking before he tweets, never forgetting where you came from, Al Sharpton, and much more!
This week we had the honor and privilege of having our friend Stoney on the show. He really broke down the concept of the Law of Attraction for us. He also provided a link for our listeners who want to learn more about this fascinating belief system.
Stoney also covered the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality test. Both Jackie and myself took the online version of this and are both ENFJ, and Stoney is an ENFP. Below are links to learn more about MBTI in addition to a link to take an online version of the test for yourself and see where you score.
Note: While the free online test isn’t the actual Myers-Briggs test (which costs $$$ and is between 100-200 questions), the MBTI is based off of the work of Carl Jung. Carl Jung was a Swiss psychotherapist and psychiatrist who founded analytical psychology.
As we stated in the podcast, Stoney is a plant enthusiast and Jackie made reference to a plant he posted on his Instagram that resembled a penis. Below is the picture of this plant which is called Nepenthes Ventricosa x Ephippiata (Bless You!).
Jackie and Ali return this week with special guest, Stoney Gamble. He breaks down the Law of Attraction and personalities. Also discussed was social media and whether it is good or bad during tragedies, Jackie’s naughty 8th grade boy thoughts, classic movies Jackie hasn’t seen, and teachers.
This week, we started the episode off on a more serious note discussing the stabbing incident that happened at Lone Star College in Texas recently. This issue has reignited the discussion on gun control, knife control, and mental health. Read more about what happened in Texas: Click Here
Apparently, Justin Timberlake is the newest celebrity member of the Illuminati. According to the Church of Illumination, Justin’s latest hit single, Suit and Tie is littered with Satanic innuendos and the moaning of demons.
Staying on the theme of music, we discussed how today’s rap has turned into today’s CRAP based on how bad the lyrics have become. Leading that group of popular CRAPpers is the one and only, 2 Chainz who’s lyrics we outline in this episode. To check out his 10 worst lyrics thus far, Click Here
In my quest to build my very own fallout shelter, we discussed the threats from North Korea and the probability of them launching a nuclear attack on the United States of America. To read more about this, Click Here
And finally, in one of the more scarier topics we have covered on the podcast, we talked about the 10 things that most people don’t know about pregnancy. Make sure you don’t have a weak stomach because a few of these are BRUTAL! Much respect to all of the mommas out there. To see the list, Click Here
Another awesome episode of The Overstand Podcast has arrived! This week, Jackie and Ali discuss Gun/Knife Control, Justin Timberlake and the Illuminati, Jay Z and President Obama, Rap and its crappy lyrics, North Korea, things they don’t tell you about pregnancy, and more!
More than 1/3 of the world’s internet access is censored. The blind cannot lead the blind therefore let me make this announcement for those who may not yet know, The Overstand Podcast is NOT censored in any way, shape, or form. This doesn’t mean that our podcast is filled with filth, or topics that people will not want to hear. On the contrary, we talk about very serious topics, current events, our own personal stories and experiences, jokes, and light-hearted banter. Mixed in with this you might hear a few f-bombs, maybe some mature subject matter, but that does not define our podcast. What does define our podcast is a frame of mind that we do not now, nor have we EVER believed in censorship.
That said, we welcome you to join us, listen in and subscribe, and if sporadic foul language and a couple mature topics here and there is too much for you to handle, feel free to move along. 🙂
We began the show talking about an 86 -year old man who killed his wife by shooting her in the head because she begged him to after living with MS for decades and then discovering that she had to have a few of her toes amputated. To read more about this story Click Here.
Also discussed was the story about the NFL defensive end from Tampa Bay who tried to board a plane with a loaded .40 caliber handgun in his carryon bag. To read more about this story Click Here.
Below is a picture of the rapper Guerilla Black who I was talking about seeing at an airport, where he boarded a plane and paid for the entire row that he was sitting in.
I guess paying for the entire row is much better than what the guy in the pic below is doing…
Jackie and Ali return in this topic-packed episode where Jackie distinguishes herself as the queen of being right. The duo also discuss mercy killings and assisted suicide, old people driving and DMV tests, Samoan Airlines and their charge per pound policy, and several other topics.
In this episode fittingly titled “Surprise”, Jackie and Ali discuss learning new languages, prenuptial agreements, high school boys and their boners, and end the show with an earth shattering announcement.
We have been getting such awesome feedback from friends, family, and all of our other listeners and we’re only 2 episodes in! I know time is precious and we are all busy but we ask that if you have a couple minutes, please go to iTunes to subscribe, rate (5-stars), and review The Overstand Podcast. The subscribing and rating will literally take you 15 seconds and if you feel very generous, an awesome review would be the cherry on top.
